Frenectomy Post Operative Instructions
You have just had a surgical procedure called a Frenectomy.
For the first 2 or 3 days follow this surgery you may experience some sensitivity to acidic foods such as orange juice and tomato products. Avoiding these foods will be more comfortable for you.
You may cleanse the area by rinsing well after you brush and floss the rest of your mouth.
You may experience some bleeding but it need not be a cause for alarm. If bleeding is excessive or persists, apply some pressure to the site with either a piece of gauze or a wet tea bag.
If you have any problems or concerns, please contact our office at (207) 774-1471. Dr. Theriault can be reached after hours at (207) 799-2454.
